Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Operative Dentistry Summary: Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the diametral tensile bond strength of resin composite restoration to pre-treated demineralized dentin with two different remineralizing agents. Methods: A total number of 84 teeth were used in this study. The buccal or lingual surface ground flat by using sand paper machine under water coolant to expose flat dentine surface. Teeth divided into three main groups; each group will have 28 teeth. (A1) (Control group) will have no re-mineralizing agent after acid etching. (A2) demonstrate fluoride varnish after acid etching for 12 minute then washed and cleaned. (A3) demonstrate CCP-ACP after acid etching for 15 minute then washed and cleaned. Self-etch adhesive system applied to all groups. Composite filled and cured in the mold by adapt mold of cylindrical shape (2{u00D7}4 mm) on the exposed dentin surface. Each group subdivided into two other groups, T1 tested after 24 hour and T2 after three months. All samples immersed in artificial saliva for aging procedure. Diametral tensile bond strength measured by universal testing machine. Results: Two-way ANOVA test was used. Result for T1 was (6.9 MPa group A1), (10.7 MPa group A2), (9.9 MPa group A3). And for group for T2 was (5.8 MPa group A1), (8.1 MPa group A2), (8.9 MPa group A3). Conclusion: Both intervention groups (fluoride varnish and CPP-ACP) showed higher diametral tensile bond strength than control group that was without remineralization
