The most frequent and severe lesions are retinal detachment and macular affection especially with development of lacquer cracks hemorrhages associated with subretinal new vessels and foveoschesis.² Foveoschesis is separation of neurosensory retina into two or more layers. It is part of Myopic traction maculopathy{u2019} (MTM which is a pathological entity that occurs due to vitreomacular traction in highly myopic eyes. In addition to foveoschesis, it comprises macular holes, shallow foveal detachment and tractional internal limiting membrane detachment.³{u⁰⁰B⁸}⁴ These changes are difficult to be diagnosed with conventional slit lamp biomicroscopy or fluorescein angiography in their early stages.⁴
