Small-for-gestational-age (SGA) fetuses represent a condition associated with an elevated risk of poor perinatal outcome, mainly when related to placental insufficiency which is responsible for a high rate of perinatal complications. The effects of decreased fetal growth are not limited to the immediate newborn period. Growing evidence effects of decreased fetal growth extend into adulthood and indicates that likely into future generations of off springs. IUGR remains a serious problem and associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Therefore, according to the current study results supported by theresults of other studies, uterine artery doppler is a good predictive method for IUGRwhether done in 1st or 2nd trimester
