Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine- Department of Radio-diagosis
HRCT is the gold standard technique for the evaluation of CDILD. MIP is a data visualization method that enables detection of high density structures in a given volume. In our study, thirty five patients; with an age range of 14-80 years, all underwent both HRCT and MIP techniques to compare their results. MIP was an excellent tool to detect clearly architectural distortion together with the distribution of the micro-nodules. MIP had an important role in the diagnosis of fibrosis; as in the case of PLCH, or its absence to confirm cases like LAM which lack the presence of fibrosis
