The present study investigates the effect of a strategy based on the Quest Learning (QL) approach for developing first year preparatory school pupils' reading comprehension skill. The participants of the study consisted of a group of sixty first year preparatory pupils selected from Amr Ibn-Elaas experimental school. The participants were assigned to an experimental and a control group (thirty students in each group). A reading comprehension checklist and a pre-post reading comprehension test were used to collect the data of the study. The proposed strategy was implemented for three months and it included nine units basically designed as web-based quests, Videoclip-based quests and infographicbased quests.
