Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Pedodontics Summary: This study was carried out to investigate the prevalence of dental caries and to determine the relationship of Caries with feeding practices among a group of Egyptian preschool Children in Alexandria Governorate, Egypt. A total number of 1600 Egyptian Pre- School Children 831 girls and 769 boys whose age ranges between three to less than six were examined randomly from those attending MoharramBek ophthalmology hospital, Dental clinic in Alexandria Governorate. The examined children were subdivided according to their ages to six age groups. It was found that Dental caries increases steadily by age and there is no significant difference between boys and girls. It also showed that there is substantial lack of basic knowledge regarding infant oral health. Also showed that the audio-visual aid is an effective way of guiding caregivers about oral health
