Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Electrical Power and Machines Summary: This study depends on the risk assessment process that is being described by expected probabilistic approach; this approach will be applied as the proactive step to investigate the hidden failure in power system. The correlation between the risk assessment and hidden failure has been proved as an effective tool to predict the hidden failure. The systemic definition of hidden failure has been suggested to match with the correlation between both and include all partial systems of the whole power system. This has been proved by examples and case study
