Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering Summary: Mobile backhauling, small cells and MmWave are the key supportive technologies for 5G revolution. Mobile backhauling is the key enabler and a showstopper for 5G small cells deployments. We introduce a novel approach for enabling small cells backhauling deployment in 5G. We present MmWave mesh backhauling topology using routing algorithm to enable small cells backhauling deployments. We then evaluate throughput for MmWave mesh approach against other centralized topologies, considering LoS and NLoS backhauling connections between small cells. We conduct scalability, reliability and fairness simulations over different cell sizes
