Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Design and Production Summary: The tungsten heavy alloys are considered the most important alloys, which used in many strategic industries and welding electrodes, which required long rods with high aspect ratio, the different methods used to produce long rods by powder metallurgy have been studied. It is found that the extrusion method is suitable for producing long rods economically. The aim of this work fabricated long rods from tungsten heavy alloy with high physical and mechanical properties. The binder with proportion 5, 7.5, 10%wt to facilitate the extrusion process is used. It is found the best binder proportion 5%, during extrusion process and good mechanical physical and properties
