Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Cardiology Summary: Consent, full history taking and analysis, clinical examination, ECG, laboratory investigation and coronary angiography were done for every patient. Degree of chronic stress, syntax scoring and depression assement were calculated for each patient. Age of patients ranged from 21 years to 58 years with mean 48.64±7.91 patients presented with chest pain are 480 (93%).while patients presented with dyspnea are 36 (7%). The prevalence of various cardio vascular risk factors among the study population was demonstrated in table [6] SMOKERS was 260 patients [ 50.4%] , HTN was 63 patients [12.2%], DM was 48 patients [9.3%], DYSLIPIDEMIA was 50 patients [9.7%] and Positive family history was 95 patients [18.4%]. Based on Albright et al, 2002.criteria of chronic stress: 21 patients (4.1%) had mild chronic stress, 200 patients (38.8%) had moderate chronic stress and 295 patients (57.2%). had severe chronic stress Table (9) while 86 patients (16.7%) are euthymic, 343 patients (38.8%) had mild depression and 87 patients(16.9 %) had moderate depression Based on Hamilton depression rating scale (Table 10) Patients had PCI or CABG:436 patients (84.5% ) undergo PCI while 41 patients(7.9%) undergo CABG and23 Patients (7.6%) undergo medical treatment
