Comprison between pushover analysis techniaques and validation of the simplified model pushover analysis / Ahmed Mahmoud Haridy Mahmoud Hammam ; Supervised Nagy Fouad Hanna

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextLanguage: English Publication details: Cairo : Ahmed Mahmoud Haridy Mahmoud Hammam , 2017Description: 101 Leaves : charts ; 30cmOnline resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - German University - Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: One the main drawbacks of the Model Pushover Analysis (MPA) is the need to perform nonlinear time-history analysis, which complicates the analysis method and time. A simplified version of the MPA has been proposed based on the concept of the inelastic deformation ratio. Furthermore, the effect of the higher modes of vibration is considered by assuming linearly-elastic responses, which enables the use of standard elastic response spectrum analysis
