Diffusion of colloids is a phenomenon with potential applications in rheology characterization of monolayers at fluid-fluid interfaces. The high aspect ratio of colloids as interfacial probes could enable characterization for monolayers of small shear viscosity still keeping lage the Boussinesq number, which sets a limit for the interfacial sensitivity of experimental measurements
