The study at hand showed that in PRES the percentages of involvement of anterior circulation and posterior circulation regions were significantly higher than that of deep structures, although no significant difference was found between the percent of affection of AC and PC. Characterization of the MRI spectrum of PRES was done in which PRES was considered typical when lesions are seen in the occipital and parietal lobes and show low signal in T1WI and high signal in T2WI with facilitated DWI. On the other had it was considered atypical when the lesions are seen in atypical locations as the frontal and temporal lobes, basal ganglia, brainstem and deep white matter or atypical presentation as restricted diffusion, contrast enhancement and hemorrhage
