Characterization of the MRI spectrum of PRES was done in which PRES was considered typical when lesions are seen in the occipital and parietal lobes and show low signal in T1WI and high signal in T2WI with facilitated DWI. On the other had it was considered atypical when the lesions are seen in atypical locations as the frontal and temporal lobes, basal ganglia, brainstem and deep white matter or atypical presentation as restricted diffusion, contrast enhancement and hemorrhage
