Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Architectural Engineering
Kinetic shading systems, are designed to respond to the environmental conditions, to provide visual comfort for occupants inside office spaces, and achieve a more sustainable design by reducing energy consumption.Kinetic solutions can be suitable system, compared to the static shading system and non-shading system. This thesis demonstrates the integration of a kinetic shading system based on research, simulations, and evaluating the day lighting performance compared to the other systems to choose the suitable system that achieve an adaptive façade for a traditional office buildings constructed in Egypt
