Aim: Was to investigate the impact of teaching program for pregnant women with gestational diabetes on pregnancy outcomes. Design: A quasi- experimental, pre-post test one group research design was adopted. Setting: This research was carried out at antenatal outpatient clinic and postpartum unit at Elmanial educational university hospital. Sample: A purposive sample of 100 women was recruited as one group to be assessed before, after attending the designed teaching program. Tools of data collection: Five research tools were used, structured interviewing schedule, maternal blood glucose levels, anthropometric measurements, followup record, Postpartum Maternal Assessment record, and Neonatal assessment record. Results: Revealed that, a statistically significant difference was found before and after attending the program in relation to pre-post test score for knowledge (P value = 0.0001), posttest knowledge score and women's compliance with the given instruction (P value=0.002). 21.9% of women had preterm labor in the previous pregnancy as compared with (8%) of them in the current pregnancy. While (5.5%) of them had postterm labor in the previous pregnancy as compared with (3%) of them in the current pregnancy, there statistical significant difference was found at (P value= 0.04) Concerning neonatal complications in the current pregnancy and its relations with the previous pregnancy, the results indicated that, (34.2%) of women delivered macrosomic babies in the previous pregnancy compared to (9%) of them in the current pregnancy, which indicated better neonatal outcomes, at P value= 0.043
