Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Anaesthesia Summary: Intradialytic hypotension is a serious complication of renal replacement therapy. IDH is associated with increased morbidity and mortality in critically ill patients suffering from AKI with delayed renal recovery, increased ICU stay and mortality. Finding predictors of IDH can be extremely beneficial specially in absence of RRT modalities that are more suitable for critically ill patients due to high cost and the need for experienced personnel. Predictors of IDH can help caregivers to identify patients at high risk of IDH and implement different strategies to protect patients at risk. APACHE II, baseline SBP, PPI, HRV and HRC can significantly predict IDH in vulnerable patients
