Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Physical Therapy for Cardiopulmonary and Geriatrics Disorders
Purpose : to consider and compare the effect of faradic and aerobic exercise on lower limb antigravity muscles in healthy non- athlete elderly women. Methods: 40 elderly women aged from 60-70 yrs.from normalsubjects (patients' companions in ItayEl-Baroud hospital.They were divided into two groups, group (A) and group (B).Results: the results showed that in group (A): significant outcomes for MMT and 6-MWT which P{u2264}0.001, non-significant for Mid-Thigh Girth which P-value>0.05. In group (B) the outcomes increases more than group (A)but the difference results between the two groups was non-significant.Conclusion: Adding of faradic stimulation to aerobic exercise improving the results
