Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: In this work, three modes were used to determine alfuzosin hydrochloride (ALF.HC) in pure, pharmaceutical preparation and biological fluid samples. 1. Different ISPEs and ICPEs modified with different ion pairing agents as NaTPB, PTA, RN and PMA were prepared. 2. Different ICPEs modified with different ratio of different ion pairing agents as (PMA-PTA), (NaTPB-PTA) and (RN-PMA) were prepared. 3. Different MCPEs modified with different ion pairs as ALF-PTA, ALF-TPB, ALF-PMA and ALF-RN were prepared and study the effect of dopping graphene and MWCNT to increase the nernstian response for MCPE. The electrodes were characterized and investigated with respect to the experimental parameters affecting their performance including temperature, pH, response time and interference. The electrodes showed good selectivity to ALF.HC with respect to the interfering ions and inorganic cations. Determination of allfuzosin hydrochloride in pharmaceutical form and biological samples were performed using calibration, standard addition and potentiometric titration methods. Validation parameters such as accuracy, precision, linearity, specificity, limit of detection and limit of quantification were achieved. The obtained results were in a good agreement with those obtained by the reported method
