Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Pedodontics Summary: Aim: To evaluate clinically and radiographically the effect of using two types of coronal plug materials in revascularization of non-vital immature teeth. Study design: A total of twenty six necrotic immature permanent anterior teeth were enrolled for pulp revascularization using double antibiotic mix for root canal disinfection. They were randomly divided based onmaterials used as coronal plug into two groups Biodentine and white Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA)(n=13). Clinical and radiographic assessment were performed after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. Results: When comparing the overall clinical successes and Percentage of increase in root length between two groups, there was no statistical significant difference (P>0.05).There was a significant difference in distribution of discoloration between two groups where 1 case reported in Biodentine group and 7 cases reported in white MTA group (P= 0.01).Conclusions: Both Biodentine and MTA were successful clinically regarding the resolution of signs and symptoms associated with infected necrotic teeth. Biodentine overcome problems of long setting time, poor handling properties and discoloration of white MTA
