This study investigated aerobic exercise efficacy on intraocular pressure in hypertensive glaucoma patients Subjects: Forty hypertensive open angle glaucoma patients were randomly selected from outpatient clinic of Mansoura ophthalmic hospital with ages from (40to55years).They were divided into two matched groups with equal numbers 20 patients in each group ,these groups included the experimental and the control groups. Methods: The Experimental group completed an eight -weeks of aerobic exercises using (cycle ergometer) three times per week for thirty minutes in each session at moderate intensity(50%-70%)of heart rate maximum plus their medical treatment. The control group took only routine medical treatment .Intraocular pressure for each eye was measured by tonometry and Mean arterial pressure was estimated before and after study Results : There was significant reduction in the intraocular pressure for the Rt and Lt eyes and the Mean arterial pressure values after treatment when compared with the treatment values in in the study group with no significant changes in the control group .Conclusion :It was concluded that aerobic exercises are effective in reduction of intraocular pressure and blood pressure in hypertensive glaucoma patients
