Dental student play an important role in the oral health education of their patients, families and friends as well as their community by transmitting the correct oral habits and raising the awareness on how to prevent oral diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of oral health attitude and behavior of dental students in Cairo university using HU-DBI. This study included dental students from all levels in Faculty of oral and dental medicine, Cairo university. The hiroshima university - Dental Behavioral Inventory questionnaire was developed by Kawamura to evaluate oral health attitude, behavior and self-reported knowledge. It consists of 20 items in a dichotomous response format (agree/disagree). As the English version of the questionnaire was used and an Arabic version was adopted (mother tongue of the participants). It was distributed among 896 undergraduate students at the beginning or end of the practical section and was given a full explanation of the study. Each participant allowed 7-15 minutes to fill the questionnaire. The score of each item which relates to oral health attitude, behavior and knowledge in the HU{u2011}DBI was analyzed and then a mean score was calculated
