Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Internal Medicine Summary: Background: Polymorphism has been described in many immunoregulatory molecules that play a role in the rejection process. It has offered a possible explanation for the individual difference in rejection susceptibility and renal graft survival independent of other risk factors. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the association between interleukin (IL)-10 -819 (C / T) and -592 (C / A) promoter polymorphism and renal transplant outcome. Methods: This work included 150 Patients randomly selected from our transplant population from June 2016 to May 2017 , they were enrolled and subjected to IL-10 -819 (C / T) and -592 (C / A) gene promoter polymorphism analysis. Amplification of the extracted DNA and genotypes were determined by Real-Time PCR. Data were statistically described in terms of mean ± standard deviation, median and, or frequencies and percentage when appropriate. Odds Ratio and the 95 % confidence intervals were calculated
