Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Prosthodontics Summary: The purpose of the current study was to evaluate the push out bond strength of a FRC post luted with self-adhesive resin cement after different surface treatment. A total of twenty four freshly extracted, human, caries free mandibular Premolars were used. Teeth were endodontically treated and decoronated to obtain a root of length 15 mm. Then were randomly assigned into four groups according to different surface treatment of fiber post as follows: G1: {silane only (control group( } G2: {hydrogen peroxide + silane} G3: {sandblasting +silane} and G4: {Er:YAG laser application + silane }. Then the posts were cemented using self-adhesive resin cement. Following cementation of all samples, all specimens were stored in distilled water for 24h at 37{u2103}, and then exposed to aging thermocycling (2000 cycles, ± 5{u00B0}C/55{u00B0}C). Then, push-out bond strength had been tested for the samples using universal testing machine. The recorded data were collected, tabulated and statistically analyzed
