Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: In this work we focused on the fabrication of a new chemically modified carbon paste electrodes for determination of Fe(II) and Al(III) ions based on polymer as ionophore. They were described for determination of the ions under investigation using potentiometric calibration and the experimental parameters were optimized according to ICH guidelines. The performance of such sensors in the potentiometric determination of Fe(II) and Al(III) ions in pure and water samples were compared with those of spectrophotometric and ICP methods. The surface characterization of the sensors was described using SEM, IR and EDX. Method validation parameters were carefully studied according to IUPAC recommendations
