This thesis is concerned with the analysis of some drugs containing amine derivatives. It comprises three parts, part I is a general introduction and literature review of Phenylephrine hydrochloride and Prednisolone acetate in addition to different analytical methods that were described for the determination of the binary mixture in pure form or pharmaceutical formulation. Part II contains literature review of Chlorpheniramine maleate, Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and Propyphenazone in addition to different analytical methods that were described for the determination of the ternary mixture in pure form or pharmaceutical formulation. Part III contains literature review of Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and Guaifenesin in addition to thin layer chromatographic-densitometric method which was described for the determination of the binary mixture in the presence of dosage form additives and also Ion Selective Electrode based potentiometric method which was described for the selective determination of Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. The aim of this work is to develop different analytical methods which are characterized by simplicity, accuracy and appropriate degree of sensitivity for the analysis of the studied drugs in their pure powdered form and pharmaceutical formulations
