  • دراسة عوامل التحكم فى الدخان فى انفاق السيارات [Added title page title]
Subject(s): Available additional physical forms:
  • Issued also as CD
Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Power Engineering Summary: This study examines the performance of semi-transverse smoke management system in road tunnels by examining the effect of many parameters such as slope of tunnel, replacing traditional jet fans with banana jet fans and adding guide vanes to jet fans near curves on smoke control during fire. Ansys fluent program is used for CFD simulations in this study. Fire is assumed to be truck with flammable loading which is the general case according to PIARC 1999.Results show that sloping down regions in tunnels makes negative effect on smoke control but replacing traditional jet fans with banana jet fans inclined 10 degrees makes positive effect on smoke control in road tunnel
