In summary, Small Incision Lenticule Extraction (SMILE) is one laser machine procedure allow the lenticule thus eliminating the need to create a flap, avoiding flap complications The SMILE procedure is now gaining popularity following the results of the first prospective trials, and a growing number of other related studies. Possible future technological evolution enabling cyclorotation tracking and adjustment may offer improvement in refractive and quality of vision results. Additionally, possible future topographic data customization of SMILE-like procedures may also improve visual outcomes. Many studies compare results of SMILE procedure with that of established other refractive techniques including LASIK and PRK Contrast sensitivity changes is a useful tool in comparing between procedures We found no statistically differences between SMILE, Fs-LASIK, and PRK in changes of contrast sensitivity measured by Cambridge Low contrast grating chart in 3 and 6 months duration after procedures
