Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Agricultural Engineering Summary: The aim of this study was to give a brief introduction to various preventive, predictive maintenance systems. A test (setting wear rate and friction coefficient). The results proved that the importance of lubrication in the engine since the results in the case of the sample after lubrication showed less wear rate than the dry sample without lubrication. The axial adjustment test was performed to determine the effect of deterioration .The analysis recommend to follow predictive preventive maintenance system to keep an acceptable engine reliability
