Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Clinical and Chemical Pathology Summary: Our study involved 210 Egyptian patients divided into 3 groups , group 1 involved 30 healthy individuals , group 2 involved 30 HCC patients and group 3 involved 150 HCV patients with different stages of hepatic fibrosis assessed by Fibroscan ALP , CBC AFP and AST were performed for all subjects involved in this study . Statistically significant positive correlations were found between different stages of fibrosis and PAPAS index ( P <0.001)
