Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Medicine - Department Of Pediatrics Summary: The majority of reported ITP cases involve auto antibodies directed against the GP IIb / IIIa complexThis study aimed at investigating GPIIb / IIIa complex receptors in children with ITP GPIIb - IIIa were examined in 50 children ; 10 patients Acute (ITP) cases , 10 patients with remission (ITP) , 10 patients with chronic steroid depended (ITP) , 10 patients with chronic steroid independed (ITP) and 10 healthy donors The number of receptors of GPIIb - IIIa detected by CD41 / 61 receptors using Eliza , was significantly decreased in acute cases , highly increased in remission cases while chronic cases showed high values but still lower than healthy donorsFollow up of cases of ITP can be guided by GPIIb / IIIa receptors number
