Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Prosthodontics Summary: The present study is a randomized clinical trial conducted on 19 patients to evaluate implant stability, bone height gain and bone density (grey scale) values after maxillary sinus floor elevation and augmentation through lateral window technique using a mixture of deproteinized bovine bone graft with injectable rich fibrin (I-PRF) or with deproteinized bovine bone solely (DBB) with simultaneous implant placement. Twenty sinuses divided randomly into two groups were operated upon. All patients were followed up clinically and radiographically for 6 months. Radiographic evaluation involved cone beam CT one week and six months postoperatively to evaluate bone height gain, bone density changes. Resonance frequency analysis to measure implant stability using Osstell device was performed immediately after implant insertion and six months postoperative at time of implant exposure. Statistical analysis of the results showed no significant difference between the two groups in the amount of bone gained or implant stability. Mixture of deproteinized bovine bone with injectable platelet rich fibrin showed higher bone results after 6 months
