Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Zoology Summary: Breast cancer represents the second leading cause of cancer death among females. Depending on its classifications, the treatments differ among patients and also the responds to these treatments differ from patient to patient. Therefore it was an urgent need to study more common factors which can efficiently effect and influence on the different types of breast cancer, increase the response to the therapy and control the cells growth, differentiation and migration. Recently, the attention was paid toward to Cancer Stem Cells, which have the ability to self-renewal and resist the chemo- and radiotherapy. We are determining the potential functions of PGs in breast cancer; which became a major challenge in the proteoglycanomics field
