Most of the research on target tracking using wireless sensor network has focused on the development of algorithms that uses stationary and uniform placed sensorsThis paper studies situations where the sensors are not uniformly placed by proposing an algorithm that uses mobile sensors to improve the coverage of the networkMoreover , the algorithm uses a clustering based and a prediction based approachSimulations show that the proposed algorithm helps in improving sensor coverage , prolonging system lifetime and is able to track targets with high accuracy
