Interstitial lung disease is a significant factor in the morbidity and mortality of systemic sclerosis patients. This is best assessed by high resolution computed tomography showing non-specific interstitial pneumonia and usual interstitial pneumonia patterns and complemented by pulmonary function tests. They are important tools in the diagnosis of systemic sclerosis interstitial lung disease, however high resolution computed tomography remains the gold standard. This study sought to utilize the Warrick score in the assessment of lung involvement in systemic sclerosis and correlate the results with pulmonary function (spirometric) values which demonstrate functional abnormalities
