Nowadays, it is clear that the study of forensic toxicology is important if not vital to continue development of life in earth. Diazepam (DZ) is 1,4-benzodiazepine drug, is tranquilizer acting mainly on the central nervous system (CNS). DZ is a drug that is used to treat anxiety disorders and sedation. The present study aimed to:-1- Characterize, identify and detect DZ drug using different toxicological analytical techniques: a- HPLC. b- GC-MS-MS. c- Raman Spectroscopy. 2-Estimate the postmortem drug concentrations in some selected tissues of injected rats, intramuscularly with different doses of DZ treatments. 3-Demonstrate the tissue or organ of choice for postmortem drug examination. Male albino rats were treated with DZ, dissected and samples were taken from blood, tissues like femoral muscle & hair and organs like brain, kidney, liver and spleen were prepared for extraction and detection of DZ. In this study, three groups of rats, each treated with DZ drug, compared with negative untreated control rats
