Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: This thesis is dealing with the development of new analytical methods for determination of three drugs in both pure form and pharmaceutical formulations (Labetalol hydrochloride and Nebivolol hydrochloride) in combination with hydrochlorothiazide in presence of its main impurities and Tirofiban hydrochloride in presence of its in process impurity. The first method is derivative method for determination of drugs in presence of main impurities. The second method is first derivative of ratio spectra method which determines Labetalol and Nebivolol in binary mixtures with hydrochlorothiazide. The third method determined studied drugs in mixtures by ratio difference method. The fourth, fifth and sixth methods determined Labetalol and hydrochlorothiazide by dual wavelength, constant center and advanced absorbance subtraction methods. The seventh and eighth methods determined Nebivolol and hydrochlorothiazide by absorption factor and ratio subtraction methods. The ninth method based on the determination of Labetalol, Nebivolol and hydrochlorothiazide in presence of its main impurities by PLS and PCR mathematical modeling. The tenth method depends on mean centering of ratio spectra for determination of studied drugs in presence of impurities. The eleventh method was HPLC methods for simultaneous determination of studied drugs in their mixtures with its main impurities using different chromatographic conditions in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluid for Tirofiban. The last method involves fabrication of two ion-selective membranes for determination of Labetalol hydrochloride with two different plasticizers
