Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Chemical Engineering Summary: The Spent Lead Acid Batteries SLABs are considered to be environmental hazardous waste mainly due to its lead content.The recycling process of the SLAB is a mandatory process to recover lead. This work discusses the effect of using Sulphur and/or Pyrite on the copper removal from crude lead through the pyro-metallurgical method in the presence of high Tin content (>0.2%) using different operating conditions which are refining temperatures (340⁰C,360⁰C and 380⁰C) and different mixing portions of the Sulphur and Pyrite
