Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Commerce - Department of Business Administration
Experiential learning approaches in entrepreneurship education have received attention in recent years. As such approaches can improve students{u2019} creativity and skills; thereby enhancing their ability to recognize and exploit business opportunities; and consequently to be more interested in an entrepreneurial career. This thesis takes a preliminary step towards addressing the impact of experiential entrepreneurship education on forming student{u2019}s entrepreneurial intentions and skills, and whether other individual and situational variables have any moderating or mediating effects on this relationship. Focusing on experiential learning style, we explored (a) the direct effect of exposure to experiential entrepreneurship education program on entrepreneurial career intention and skills of students; (b) the moderating functionality of gender, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and family background of students; and (c) the mediating functionality of theory of planned behavior variables. This research can be regarded as being positivistic in nature as it studies relationships or correlations among multiple variables through quantitative research methods
