In this work, ten highly deviated wells penetrating the depleted top Nukhul Formation have been analyzed to determine the optimum drilling scenario that ensure both economic and safe drilling operations, and determine some drilling criteria to identify the top Nukhul. Data analysis indicated four strategies applied in drilling through the depleted top Nukhul Formation designated as cement plug {u2013} sidetrack 12 {u00BC}3 hole strategy, zero offset LWD - PBL sub strategy, geosteering technique strategy, and complete loss - cement plug - sidetrack 8 {u00BD}3 hole strategy. It was concluded at the end that the best drilling strategy is the third one which is geosteering technique strategy
