The main purpose of this research is to investigating the effect of Transfer storey {u200E}location on the value of response modification factor (R) for dual system, {u200E}and to reach this objective the well-known SAP2000 software has been used {u200E}to carry out a nonlinear static pushover analysis on {u200E}several number of models using 3D modeling. These models vary in {u200E}several parameters such as number of floors, concrete dimensions and the location of the transfer floor. These models have been designed and analyzed for both vertical and lateral loads {u200E}according to Egyptian code provisions for the design of the reinforced concrete {u200E}buildings (ECP203-2007) and the Egyptian code for calculation of loads (ECP201-{u200E}{u200E}2012)
