Introduction: Gliomas comprise a broad, heterogeneous spectrum of central nervous system (CNS) tumors that account for 56% to 70% of all pediatric CNS tumors. Aim of Work: To study the outcome and survival rates [the overall survival (OS), progression free survival (PFS) and event free survival (EFS)] of pediatric Low grade gliomas, and to study differentt variablesin relation toin relation toin relation to in relation toin relation toin relation toin relation toin relation toin relation toin relation to in relation to outcome Patients and Methods: : This is a retrospective cohort study, which included forty- five (45) patients diagnosed with low grade glioma. These patients presented to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Cairo University during the period from January 2008 to December 2013. Results: : In this study the median follow up time was 56.18 months ranging from 1.84 to 144.77 months. The OS rates at 3 and 5 years were 81.5% and 78.2%, respectively, PFS rates at 3 and 5 years were 75.6% and 69.7%, while EFS rates at 3 and 5 years were 72.0% and 66.5%. The operability affected OS, while the operability and the extent of surgical resection affected PFS and EFS.Thirty-five patients (77.8%) were alive [ 26.7 % were alive with no evidence of disease, while 51.1% were alive with radiological findings], with mortality rate of 22.2%
