Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Astronomy and Meteorology Summary: This thesis aims to show that stellar structure can be treated by using a pure geometric field theory. It is an attempt to obtained a theoretical expression for the mass-radius relation. The stellar model used is obtained as an analytical solution of the field equations of a geometric field theory. A linear relation between mass and radius for main sequence stars is obtained as a consequence of a solution of a set of differential equations after using the vanishing of all components of the geometric material-energy tensor at a certain boundary of the stellar configuration. We Compare the theoretical formula obtained with observation using a sample of lower main-sequence stars members of binary systems. We obtained some parameter from this comparison
