Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: The purpose of the present study is to improve and develop of analytical methods for determination of seven water soluble and five fat soluble vitamins from some food stuffs and nutraceuticals by using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Separation of water soluble vitamins was performed on a Waters spherisorb ODS2 (250 mm{u00D7}4.6mm, 5om) column and wavelength 272 nm at room temperature. The detection limits ranged from 4 to 8.7 ng/ol, the average recovery was 97%-104 % and correlation coefficient (r) 0.9997. The isolation of fat soluble vitamins includes a saponfication and extraction with petroleum ether and diethyl ether. Separation of fat soluble vitamins was performed on a C18 (250 mm {u00D7} 4.6mm, 5om) column. The wavelengths for Vitamins A, E and D were 325, 285 and 264 nm, respectively at room temperature. The detection limits ranged from 15.41 to 23.13 ng/ol, the average recovery 80.36%- 96.5 % and correlation coefficient (r) from 0.9992 to 0.9999
