Methods: Forty elderly obese women with arterial stiffness participated in this study. They were selected from outpatient clinic TANTA Hospital. Their ages were ranged from 60 - 70 years and Body mass index) BMI (> 30.0 kg/m2 ). They were randomly divided in two groups Group A: 20 patients received whole body vibration training WBVT for12 weeks the duration of one session was 40 minutes 3 times / week including warming up and cooling down in addition to their regular medications prescribed by their physician and dietary modifications advices. Group B: 20 patients only received their regular medications prescribed by their physician, and dietary modifications advices. Results: Arterial stiffness showed statistically significant decrease in both group A and group B post study with more significant decrease in group A compared to group B. The percentage of improvement for pulse wave velocity of common femoral artery for group (A) was 11.45%. Pulse wave velocity for popliteal artery was12.22%.triglycerides for group (A) was 16.05%.and cholesterol for group (A) was 12.77%. Conclusions: Whole body vibration is a useful tool in decreasing arterial stiffness in elderly obese women
