Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Science - Department Of Organic Chemistry Summary: Chitosan / PVA , as well as , chitosan citrate / PVA blends were used to form a semi interpenetrating polymeric network (IPN) hydrogel for medical application.The crosslinking agent free preparation method was developed using freezing - thaw process.The swelling behavior was observed to be dependent on pH , temperature and on the time and number of freezing thawing cycles
