Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: The survey of the literature showed the need for research on the behavior of strengthened continues reinforced concrete beams with different strengthening techniques. To meet this need, this study was utilized to predict the behavior of the strengthened continuous RC beams under monotonic increasing load. This research aims to investigate the effect of strengthening schemes on the flexural strength of a continuous RC beams under a range of parameters. Seven beams were constructed experimentally and finite element models were developed to verify the experimental results by using (ANSYS). Also, a parametric study was investigated by using 540 specimens to discuss the relationship between the CFRP sheets strain and different parameters, a relation was constructed to facilitate the process of failure load value prediction, as well as the CFRP sheets type of failure, and to investigate the effect of each parameter on the flexural behavior of the strengthened reinforced continuous beams
