Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine- Department of Orthopedic Surgery Summary: Background: This study aimed to evaluate the functional outcome of 30 patients with fracture inter-condylar humerus treated with TRAP and olecranon osteotomy. Methods: 30 patients withfractureinter-condylar humerus were prospectively analyzed. TRAP was used in 15 patients and olecranonosteotomy was used in 15 patients. 17 patients were females and 13 were males.Functional results were evaluated with the Mayo elbow performance score. Results :The overall mean arc of elbow motion was 108 degrees in TRAP group and in olecranon osteotomy group was 98 degrees. A significant difference noted between the two groups in terms of mean Mayo elbow score with(p=0.412). The overall complications rate in TRAP group was 13.3% and in olecranon osteotomy group was 33.3%.Conclusion :TRAP is a successful approach in treatment of fracture intra-condylar humerus that provide good exposure and better arch of motion and reduce the complications rate
