Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Operative Dentistry Summary: This study was designed to investigate whether the application of nano-hydroxyappetite after bleaching differ from the routine used amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) in remineralization and surface roughness of human enamel. Sixty three standardized bleached enamel specimens were prepared. Specimens were bleached on labial surfaces of caries free anterior teeth. They were bleached using white power bleaching agent and divided into three groups according to remineralizing agent application. Group 1: (control) no remineralization; Group 2: GC mousee remineralizing agent and Group 3: Remin PUR-X remineralizing agent. Each group was further subdivided into three subgroups according to storage period into: immediate, 1 week and 4 weeks aging periods. Specimens were stored in artificial saliva at 37 degrees. 63 readings for surface roughness were done for all specimens. Surface roughness measurements were done using stylus profilometer. 63 readings for mineral content analysis using energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) were done
