This thesis consists of an introduction and two original parts. In the first part cyclic enaminone and cyanoacetamide derivatives with incorporated sulfamethoxazole moiety were prepared. Their reactions with arylidenemalononitrile derivatives in ethanol or pyridine/piperidine at reflux yielded the corresponding hexahydroquinoline and 6{u2010}amino{u2010}2{u2010}oxopyridine{u2010}3,5{u2010}dicarbonitrile derivatives incorporating sulfamethoxazole. In the second part, one-pot three-component cyclo-condensation reaction of bis(indole-2,3-diones) containing ether-amide or ester-amide linkages with 6-aminouracil in boiling acetic acid afforded tetrakis(6-aminopyrimidine-2,4-diones) or bis(pyrido[2,3-d:6,5-d']dipyrimidines) depending on the reaction conditions.
