Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Analytical Chemistry
This thesis is concerned with analytical study of some active pharmaceutical ingredients containing carbonyl group namely, paracetamol, alogliptin benzoate, pioglitazone hydrochloride and hydrocortisone acetate. The aim of the work was the development ofsimple, selective and accurate methods for the simultaneous determination of paracetamol, pseudoephedrine and pholcodine in their combination either in pure form or in pharmaceutical preparations. Also to develop simple, efficient and selective analytical and bioanalytical methods for qualitative and quantitative determination of alogliptin benzoate and pioglitazone hydrochloride in their binary mixtures. Different analytical methods were described for the simultaneous determination of hydrocortisone acetate and clotrimazole in presence of their pharmaceutical preservative in their combination either in pure form or dosage form.Different analytical techniques were adopted in this thesis including; IR spectroscopic, UPLC, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, potentiometricand chemometrics
